The 'Islamabad Journalist Safety Forum' is a platform to discuss issues of impunity for crimes against journalists in Asia. Pakistan Journalists Safety Coalition (PJSC) hosted the three-day international conference from 05-7 December 2022 in Islamabad. Islamabad-based media watchdog organisation Freedom Network helped PJSC organise the conference extending logistic and technical assistance. PJSC is platform of multi-stakeholder platform to combat impunity for crimes against journalists through legal framework. The platform was instrumental in pushing teh agenda for special protection laws for journalists and made significant breakthrough by engaging the federal and Sindh governments to pass special laws.
