The following are TORs for Communications manager for WJA:
- Promote digital advocacy campaigns launched by WJA
Description: Manage the communication plan to communicate and publicize the digital advocacy campaigns of WJA across and beyond WJA communication platforms
Deliverables: Implement the WJA digital advocacy campaigns in consultation by WJA and supervise/liaise with the digital campaign designer.
- Manage WJASoMe outreach
Description: This entails proactively operating WJA social media (SoMe) accounts, including Facebook, Twitter/X, YouTube and other networks – creating and publishing relevant content on the SoMe platforms regularly + tracking and improving audience engagement on the WJA SoMe accounts.
Deliverables:
- Submit fortnightly audience engagement statistics reports.
- Publish multiple posts per week per SoMe channel.
- Produce at least two original brief content pieces per month relating to WJA and its activities/policies/advocacy strategies.
- Manage the WJA website
Description: Updating website pages and sections, publishing new content to the website, and uploading relevant documents related to the WJA Alliance.
Deliverables:
- Publish at least one new post/press release per fortnight on the website.
- Update resources/publications/links to studies/research on women in media issues page on the website.
- Produce regular WJA thematic statements
Description: Create and communicate a stream of thematic statements outlining WJA positions on various issues.
Deliverables: Produce fortnightly short statements – between 250 to 300 words each – on issues/themes suggested by WJA and IMS.
Required qualifications and skill-sets
- Preferred background in journalism, communication and/or IT.
- Experience of three years or more in advocacy, digital campaigning, social media analysis and management of digital communities.
- Experience in creating original content based on editorial guidelines and objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe suite and WordPress and video and photo editing software.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills in English and Urdu.
- Experience with audience analytics tools.
- Strong communication and outreach skills.
Position, duration and compensation
This is a full-time position based in Islamabad. We prefer female candidates for this position. Compensation: Rs70,000 per month.

WANTED: Lead Researcher and Analyst for research on student perceptions on disinformation – joint pilot research by journalism schools of universities that are CAD members and Freedom Network.

The following are TORs for the Lead Researcher and Analyst:
- Liaise with the CAD-designated research committee to finalize the research design, outline, methodology and data collection instrument(s) as well as the hypotheses that align with the research objectives.
- Develop a data analysis plan appropriate for the research design.
- Develop the draft survey questionnaire.
- Supervise a team of field researchers – comprising nominated students by journalism departments of CAD member universities – in data collection. This will include an online orientation session with the students on how to conduct the research, document the data collected and submit it.
- Ensure that data collection is conducted in accordance with the research design and collected in an ethical manner.
- Analyze data and prepare a draft report on the findings and share with research committee for inputs.
- After including committee inputs, present findings to broader CAD membership and incorporate final inputs from them to make the research report fit for publication and public sharing.
- Adhere to agreed deadlines for the entire process.

Finance & Admin Assistant – Terms of Reference
- Assist Finance & Admin Manager in all administrative and financial matters of FN
- To prepare payment and receipt vouchers on FN templates

- To prepare other reports required by Finance & Admin Manager

- Produce a working draft of best practices on code of conduct for Journalists reporting on issues of diversity and pluralism
- Draft agenda for two consultative workshops with key media stakeholders for feedback on draft of code of conduct
- Conduct two consultative workshops based on pre-approved agenda on draft code of conduct
- Be the lead resource person on national conference for presenting draft code of conduct for endorsement
- Liaise with programme manager of Freedom Network
Qualification required:
